• یہ رستے میں کس سے ملاقات کر لی
  کہاں رہ گئے تھے بڑی رات کر لی
  شبِ غم کبھی در کو اٹھ اٹھ کے دیکھا
  کبھی ان کی تصویر سے بات کر لی
  ہم اہلِ جنوں کا ٹھکانہ نہ پوچھو
  کہیں دن نکالا کہیں رات کر لی
  چلے آئے موسٰی کو جلوہ دکھانے
  قیامت سے پہلے ملاقات کر لی
  قمرؔ اپنے گھر ان کو مہماں بلا کر
  بِلا چاند کے چاندنی رات کر لی
